Default question for kenwood 7100 owners

is there a mounting kit for this head unit? i just purchased the kenwood 7120 and i was told that there isnt one available.

you don't need a mounting kit. the dnx7100 comes with two plastic trim pieces that covers the gaps on the sides. You will need to drill/dremel the factory mounting brackets so the radio sits farther back allowing the door to close.

ok. ive read somewhere on the forum about dremeling the farctory bracket. thanks bro
