Default question on "stock" fog lights

i dont have my gauges in my car at the moment (LED swap) and i noticed today that my ebay factory fogs arent working... i thought they were yesterday(after i pulled the gauges), but i may be wrong.

last night i put in a new led rocker switch(for some neons, not related to the fogs at all other then the switch is in the same switch pannel), wired it up and also installed all new interior lights, now i cant get my stock fogs to light up(their switch also does not light up). Headlights still work, and my 2nd set of fogs still work. (wired strait to the battery, not through the factory harness.)

think i just knocked something loss, but cant figure out what... im at work and its raining so i cant really play with it for another 8 hours. ideas?

yea, its most likely the fuse. If you didnt disconnect at least the negative terminal to your battery while installing the switch for you other lights, you may have accidently touched and shorted a wire to you Fogs and cause the fuse to blow since the Fogs have constant power supply to them. This is very common. it happens all the time on accident when wiring new electronics in the car. You may have accidently touched a Fog light power wire and shorted it or possibly knocked the wire lose to the power supply. Check where the Power is ran to the Fogs. Is it connected to you battery or near your fuse panel inside? Check that also. May have jarred it lose on accident when you removed the panel.

no, i havent had a chance to play with it. but that has to be exactly what it is. theres 4 or 5 wires grounded at the same spot, so i may have missed it... or i blew the fuse when i re connected it.

thanks again.

OOOO..got ya. yea thats most likely what happened. You made contact with the ground wire that is for the Fogs and since it has constant power going through the + wire, the ground you touched shorted it and blew the fuse. Good luck.

yaknow the best part of being a ____ing moron... all your problems are easily solved...

on my way home i stopped at autozone for some simple leds for my center air vent and cup holders... when i was pulling into park (the building had a glass front) i noticed my hibeams were on... turned them off and the fogs came on.

oh, the joy of driving without gauges!

yea driving without gauges is not good. I could see that being very difficult. Do you still have a problem with them or not?
