Default Quick Question on Neon lights (Help!)

i have these neon in my garage and it will be waste to toss them. so im planning to install them.

i know how to install them after searching. but i dont see a forum talking about this so this might help others to do a fast installation

correct me if im wrong

switch with two pongs
one goes to the light
and the other goes to the battery

My question is instead of tapping it to the battery could i use the cigarette lighter to tap it? or the wire that lights up P R D 3 2 1?

any options that i can use? that is not from the battery or the fuse block under the dash. it might be a noobie question but it might help from damaging the electric wires in the car

one thing i have already have led in vents and cupholders which i tap from the P R D 3 2 1 wire. it only lights up when i turn on my parking lights.

i just got my dash custom paint at my cousins shop to match my flint mica color. Its smooth and shiny like the outside. i could actually wax it since its car paint ill post pics this weekend after this mod.

thanks

The short answer is "yes."

On a two prong swith, one will go to your power source and the other will go to the power wire of your neon.

I would suggest, however, that you use the battery as your power source rather than tapping into factory wiring. Also, don't forget to use an inline fuse and a solid grounding point.

If you're new to electrical wiring and neon lights in general, I suggest checking out the Oznium forum at www.oznium.com/forum.

There are alot of knowledge people over there that are more than willing to answer any questions pertaining to lights.

Good luck!
