i recently aquired a pair of these speakers:

i currently have 1 Kicker L7 12" in the trunk too.
my headunit is a pioneer DEH-780MP.

my interior speakers are all stock.

can i put these speakers in the front, and wire them to my headunit AND have the stock tweeters functional? or would it be better to put them in the back?

 

does your HU put out 25wrms x 4 or more?

 

yea i think it puts on 25. but if i put the speakers in the front, will the tweeters that came with the car still work?

 

if you wire it directly to where the existing midbass is and splice the factory wires i don't see why not

I would put them in the front and yes you can have the stock tweeter functional. You would want to put them in the front cause that is where you hear most of your sound. Rear speakers are useless except for back seat passengers.

Oh and no your headunit doesn't put out 25w RMS and it doesn't matter at all. It puts out about 16-18w RMS.

 

gotcha. so do i needa slice into where the stock speaker is wiring into right now?

 

yeah you can do that or you can buy speaker harness' and then they will just plug in and you won't have to splice anything.

yeah I just made mine, but I work in a shop installing so I just did it real quick at work.
