Rear Hatch Floor
Hello,
I'm in the process of creating a floor for my hatch, instead of using the cover. And I fabricated one myself! But! I am displeased with it! So I was wondering if anyone ever fabricated a hatch floor, and possibly had any pointers, or exact dimensions?

For all of my builds, I use a stock floor with all of the hardware removed as a starting template. You'll need to make the floor in 2 or 3 sections, a single constant piece is impossible. I've done floors in MDF, TSH (tempered service hardboard), and recently, carbon fiber. Hardboard is the easiest and most forgiving material.
Once i get my sub box, i can finally put together my false floor. I have all the wood cut. I just have to make a mock up and see if it all fits together. Then going to cover everything in leather. Hopefully, if the weather is nice ill have it done in two weeks. Ill post pics of the final product too.
STNC did you ever check out the file I sent you?... I believe I still have it, just never used it...
I'll see if the place I get waterjetting done at can cut a piece of cheap gasket material to see how the fitment is...

I am starting my floor next week, does anyone have any photos of how they did the framework under neath.......it is easier to see what others have used and get started on it using something that is known to work.
