Default Rear hatch space for sub box (tC)

Sup pplz.. i was just wondering.. what kind of length would i have to work with for a sub box for 2 12w3s (1.25 cuft each sub.. total 2.5cuft) in the back of the tc. The box is going to be a wedge enclosure and will be against the back seat of the car (since 2.5cu ft isnt that small the width will need to be pretty long). Help ;D

wow lol.. what are the dimensions of that box? internal vol? Im trying to get the same type of setup.. same wedge .. length width and height that you have there. If you can.. please measure the back end of that (where the back of the box meets the back seat). Thanks man.. and thats a nice lookin setup.

Say goodbye to quite a bit of space for 2.5 cubes total. It's what I've got ;) Giant rectangle in the back....you'd have no room left I think w/ the wedge. Need to check that though ;)

ummm.....i have 2 12w3's in the JL High Output wedge box and it wouldn't fit in the hatch area with the spare tire in.....had to take it out and flip flop the box to get it to fit......

edit: you should take the shallowness of the hatch area into consideration as well.....it's not very deep......also watch out for where the hatch closes...

I know this all too well.

I thought my box barely fit. Turns out it barely DIDN'T fit. There's nice rub marks on the panel now....probably try to find a new one once i'm done w/ my next install

Well i was going to skimp on the height as much as possible and just try to make the box really wide.. ah well. I dont even have the car yet.. but if everything works out ok for me ill get it.. this is just for a current system which would go into the tC in the future
