Ok, I plan on using some polk db or momo series components in the front doors and am debating over a 2-way or comp set in the rear. Any thoughts? also if anyone has these in their tC i'd like to know what you think about em.

 

i havent done it myself, but after reading alot, many people just leave the stock speakers in the back, if n ot disconnect them saying that it wouldnt matter or not.

 

I just purchased some db6500s for the front. Crutchfield.com is having a deal where you "buy a set of Polks get a second set 1/2 off". So I ended up getting some db5250s for $90. Hopefully, Santa ( ) will bring me an amp and I can install these after the 1st of the year. My thinking was that "if I'm going to change out the fronts, I might as well change out the rears too." (Plus, I couldn't beat the half price thing. ) I like for everything to match. Besides, when I eventually do the speaker swap, I want to replace the fabric on the doors and rear panels with a suede or other material.

 

Yeah, it's really recommended to swap all four speakers... Just my 2 cents... :D

 

yea i'm gonna do all 4 just trying to decide which type to use for the rear.

 

Yeah, I changed out mine.. I have memphis mclass component speakers 15-PRCS6 for the front and 15-PRCS5 for the rear.

 

i definitely recommend changing both out. i went with infinity components in the rear and the tc has the perfect spot for tweeters..
