Default Remote Start Module for Manual Tranny

Well, I have an alarm w/ a disabled remote start since my car is a manual. I was looking into diffrent modules that is offered and tripped over this, directed electronic module 689M. Any 1 have this installed in their remote start with a manual tranny?

I have one kicking in my tool box at work. Its a cool little unit but I never put it in. If I were in your shoes I would pick up the viper 5701 because it all ready is manual transmission ready.

Right now i have the viper 5902.

I have one of those lcd screens viper alarm system already. I think it is the 5900 series as well. The one with the blue remote. Well i got the adapter module for the manual tranny which i will put in this week. I dont mind a sequence especially in the winter. The summer I can care less for it. I just do not want to worry about leaving my car in gear which i rarely do and it going off on its own. At least if i have to put a sequence to it and I put it in gear I dont think it should go on, well I let you know how it goes!

if you have the new viper 5901 then you wont need the 689M module. The viper is manual transmission ready straight out of the box.

More insight from Mattieg!

I'm looking into remote starters as well. Just beginning the research. I think that I came to the right place.

I have the Carroll Shelby alarm system/remote start, the system is called the CS-750R, its out of da box ready for manual tranny, it comes w/ a screen remote and a distance of half mile start distance.

Also, the CS-750R Shelby is extremely sensitive, my tc is parked on st., so whenever loud cars, motorcycles etc. passes by, it trips the alarm system. But other than that its a phenomanal unit.

haha hey paintball!! Ya with the alarm systems you have a shock sensor installed and you can turn it down. Mine is the same way but I like it. I also have a proximity sensor so if someone where to try to peak in my windows it will set the alarm off.
