Default Remote Start for a tC?

I was thinking about buying a Python 990 for my tC and was wondering what you guys think about it. Also if you think there would be a better remote start let me know.

most of us drive stick so remote start isnt a good idea for us. my friend has a remote start and he rarely use it. i think if u live in cold areas where u need to start your cars when it gets too cold then thats a good idea.

I'm rocking the python remote start sytem in my Auto tC right now. I love it cause I live in NC and i'm from fla so the cold is something I don't like very much. The only thing with remote starts on our cars is we need the bypass for our keys with the chips they have so that it will work, which are like 50 bucks. Other than that I love my Python system!

I have a stick and a viper remote start and alarm. I dont leave my car in gear and never got into the habit when i started driving stick. And my buddy hooked up a fail safe, that if the handbrake is not engaged the remote start wont start the car.

Remotes starts was very nice this winter esp when we hit -30 this winter. or if its really hot outside u can can cool off ur car.

if you know how to do it you can save yourself a lot of money. I didn't know how so I had mine installed for $250 with the required bypass for our cars. Now just find a good system and add that too it. I payed 330 installed for mine well because I raided every circuit city around and found mine for $80 bucks out the door =]

i have a manual transmission with the python990, its a great alarm except its got a big draw back. it only comes with one remote and if you want a spare, you gotta get another 2way for about $150. you cannot get away with a cheap companion remote because the antenna operates at a different frequency and will not recognize it when you try and program it.

I think a better solution for you would be the python872 or the viper 5701, they both come wit two remotes (a 2way and a companion remote). They are also designed to integrate with a manual transmission. if i could change mine i would..but i probablly get the viper5709.
