Remote start using stock remote??
Hey everyone,
I've done a few alarm installs (about 6) in various cars but never one in the TC. I have been a mechanic for about 10 years so I do like to do everything my self, and I'm not afraid of wiring.
What I'm looking for is best bang for the buck auto start and would like to have input where you could press the horn button 3 times to start the car or hit two buttons at the same time to signal the remote start to turn on. Reason for this is I would hate for her to have to carry two different fobs.
Is there a DYI or a wiring diagram/ sheet?
Thanks for the help and Merry Christmas.

You will not like to hear this, but unless you make custom circuitry it will NOT be possible. I installed my remote start/security myself and looked into this and came up at a dead end...that INCLUDES having the who wiring schematic for the car (ECU and all). You're only other option would be to bypass the ignition cylinder and go keyless. I plan to do this when I get my upgraded smartphone system. PM me for more info.
