Default Rewire lighter outlet to work when igition is off

I want to rewire the 12v cigar lighter to work while the ignition is off.

I know some cars actually have the fuse box wired so you can move the fuse between two slots for the cigar lighter. Depending on which slot you chose it'll change whether it works while the car is powered off.

Does the tC have anything like this? Are there any write-ups on the easiest way to re-wire the cigar lighter?

what you would wanna do would be to take off the current positive (i think its red so its only on with the ignition). then tap a constant 12V+ feed to it, try the power from behind the headunit, or any other constant source, and itll work. i think its yellow.

In theory, yes. Running a 12v line directly to the battery is not a smart idea though.

I'm aware of how to re-wire the cigerette lighter so it works. I'm just looking to see if anyone has found a simple/quick solution like some manufactures impliment into the exiting wiring in the fuse box.
