I am looking to replace both my pillars. The left one with a 2 gauge pillar and the right one ....one that matches the left.

From what I have learned - even with the optional air bags ...they do not come out of the pillars right?

Does anybody know of any left/right matching pillars? I think there are CF ones ...are there any others?

 

Yeah CarbonTrix.com are the only ones i know of. When i get mine in my car (still waiting) i'll take some pix.

there is a plastic piece that goes over the metal piece coming from the pillar.

ohhh so u just pop it strait out right? do you have any pics farther away from the car so you (or me) can make dots where the plastic pieces are? I would like to document this for people because it hasnt been done yet (and im going to need it later this year or next).

 

No it just does pop out. I has to be pried out with a flat head. I don't have any picture from far away an what do you mean dot.

 

what is the pink and blue strap? ....for the airbags?

 

ya they hold the airbag when it blows

 

do i need to take the pieces off where the air bags are to get to the pillars ...or do the pillars come up first?

i saw that in his pics he has the panel off by the "oh SHlT bars" and I didnt know if you have to take them off first to get to the pillars.

 

jwagg... the pillars just come off by themselves. You don't have to remove anything else.

 

how are people securing them? ...putting holes in the pillar? I would assume thats what would need to be done incase of an accident.
