how do u install a rocker switch? do i have to cut thru my dash to install it? are there switches out there already that i can just add to the switch panel?

You should be able to find universal toggle switch at most any auto parts store or places like Wal-Mart auto dept. Just use one of the spots on the dash just left of your steering wheel. Pop one of those blank switch pieces out drill a hole insert the switch. Connect your wires and pop it back in. All done!

I'd suggest this switch

You have to drill a hole in one of the panels on the left of the steering wheel, but I've found that this switch matches the interior very well and is also the same switch the tcover uses, so if you add that later, you're good to go...

WDS question about those paddle switches the posts on the back of the switch will I be able to use 16-14 gauge female crimp on disconnects or will I need to solder the wires to the switch. I know soldering is more professional but I like to use the disconnects incase I want to switch switches

They are soldered... you can solder a disconnect to them no problem though, if you need to... the TCover switch is on off on,(the OEM one is just one/off... so with the switches I use, I can use the same switch and a diode to do different combinations of interior lighting and such...

even better; I have a couple of toggle switches with red safety covers (a good picture of one is at http://www.autotoys.com/x/cust/produ...d=3811&cat=908 ). Nothing says "think before activating this switch" like a toggle switch with a safety cover.

Only problem is, what should it go to? I don't have anything custom in the car yet. Perhaps some light kit added on later on?

see, i think those kinds of switches draw too much attention to the switch panel. I like the OEM-ish styled switches.

but to answer your questions, interior lighting, foglights, underbody kit, strobes, etc etc are all switchable.

LoL... I have one of those safety switches... it's in my change holder, with my purge and autoopen switch for my nitrous tank...
and it arms my ZEX system... (I wanted to make sure when opening or purging, I didn't accidently arm it)
Most of the time, you'd never know it was there... (Which is how I like it )

BAM!
