Just to let you guys know. Sally is the name of my tC not the name of the owner
THE GOAL
- Custom built base board wrapped in tan leather
- Custom built PC case for a Carputer that would sit sinked into the trunk with a plexiglass top.
- 2 Pioneer 12" subs (1 on each side)
- 2 NOS, NX, ZEX, or Venom bottles. (1 on each side preferably 5LB each)
- 20" flat panel directly behind the seats facing backwards.
- Removing the rear seats to get the weight back down some.
- Custom build PC Dual H/D LED everything (cooling / power supply) Asus ATX motherboard, 2 Gigs of MEM, Video card, sound card, Ethernet for future wireless.
- 2 800W - 1000W Amps (still have no clue where to put it but might display it behind the monitor on a slant.
- All at the same time trying to keep the weight of the car the same by removing other components and unneeded accessories (rear seats, spare tire, engine block
THE PLANS

THE PROGRESS
Building the frame
I started out by measuring every degree, angle, and line and that took for ever and I could hardly read what i wrote because it was so much. After struggling with that and building it I then realized I could just trace the styrafoam bins
Then I cut the board to the right size using 1/4th inch MDF and then cut a hole big enough to fit the pc box that would slide in and out for easy taking apart the setup just en case. I cut the base in 4 pieces so that theres a gap in the center and the 2 center tabs would be able to pop out and I then can lift the sides if I ever need to take the system out in a hurry. You cant see it in this picture but you will know what I'm talking about when you see it wrapped in the leather.

PROGRESS - WRAPPING THE LEATHER
Everybody uses glue but I used just a little glue to hold the leather down and then I used upholstery finish nails and tapped them in the sides and from behind to keep the leather stretched around and keep its grip. It doesn't pop up or anything, its a way smoother finish then using glue. It just takes longer and is harder to get perfect. I then just made a quick run to best buy to buy my brother his Christmas present (late present) and ended up coming home with 2 speakers along side. Just average 12" pioneer subs (enough bang for my buck) Bangin something is better than bangin nothing
<- Im sorry I couldn't resist.

THE NEXT STEP
The next step is to build 2 sub boxes 50% mdf 50% fiberglass to put on the sides.
Then fitting the monitor
MORE COMING STAY TUNED FOR THE NEXT WEEK OR SO!
Keep in mind Delta Customs does custom interiors and setups

looking good! but it doesnt look like ull be able to fit your nos bottles in between the subs and the plexi cover. also u think about a big fan under the floor to keep your computer/ amps cool? that may be somthing u might want to look into. other then that, false floor setups FTMFW!
I ordered about 10 80mm fans. I hope that does the job lol. I need to figure out a way to cool the pc when the car is in the sun but also not drain battery power. I need a capacitor. <- I think thats how its spelled. The NOS bottles if I cant fit them Ill probably just prop them where the seats used to be. I dont want it to be crowded in the trunk.
what you can do for the nos bottles is angle them outwards from the rear center, they will most likley cover the back corners of the plexi cover but itll work if u want to keep everything in the trunk compartment.
