Default Scion Security disables Unlock when engine turns off..

So I have a GReddy full auto turbo timer, and everytime I get out my car, and lock the door, and let the timer cycle down, and at the end, my doors unlock.
What I want to do is just be able to take my key out, lock the doors and have them remained locked, so I don't have to wait around for it to cycle down, unlock the doors and relock them.

Any suggestions?
Thanks.....

so your doors unlock themselves? friggin autobots are takin over the world! :D

there is a separate booklet that came with your manual that tells you set the locking the way you want it.

Hmm, yeah....everytime i turn off the car, my doors unlock....well the booklet that came with the turbo timer is all in Japanese, HAHA.....and I don't think i remember seeing anything from their website on the install.
The "upgraded security" from Scion didn't come with an extra booklet.....I'll go test it out by turning the alarm off and see what happens.

It doesn't have an auto unlock feature... but I see an increasing number of people finding out the system they got wasn't actually a Scion Security system as well.

See, maybe that's why your turbo timer isn't working while mine is with Scion Securty; you don't actually have the authentic Scion Security alarm!

Just kidding, but seriously, you probably don't have the real alarm cuz mine doesn't auto unlock when I turn off the car. I'm also guessing it automatically locks when you start the car (which again does not happen to mine).

Hmm, I should really see what 'alarm' i have, but i was under the impression mine was the Scion alarm.
But then again, does your Scion alarm have a blue switch under where the engine hood pop lever is?
When you lock, it flashes like an LED blue?

uhm...actually the car DOES have an auto unlock feature. this is how, start the car, open the door, hit the power lock, close the door. the car will not unlock the door the moment it shuts to prevent you from locking yourself out.

i know this because onetime i left my gf in the car while it was idling, and it was dark, so i wanted to lock the door behind me for her safety, and i hit the lock, closed the door while the key was in the ignition, and the door kept unlocking itself. i have scion security, don't know if it is a feature that was stock or in the security system, but yeah, the car i repeat DOES have an auto unlock function.

nope, no blue led. only a red led on the switch panel. it is a panel that has a red led and a speaker to detect glass breakage.

also, draxcaliber is correct in that it does have an auto unlock feature in that situation. it also auto locks (relocks) when you attempt to unlock the doors when they are closed and they aren't opened within 30 seconds.

alright, mine does all that you mentioned above, but i have a switch below and not on the panel....soi guess nobody's figured out how to get around this concerning turbo timers....

^^ you probably got the KARR alarm then.. Scion Security has a place on the switch panel that specially has the words "Scion Security" on it

you need to look up the manual for the alarm and program it that way.

in this case, you just need to program it to disable the feature.
