Default Scion tC Battery Terminal

yo. I looked around and found nothing on this. Anyone who as added an amplifier to a tC must have added some sort of clamp to thier batter terminal. I have never owned a top post battery so this is a bit new for me.

I noticed it has one rougly 4awg and another smaller, maybe 10awg going to the battery.

What battery terminals did you all use?

thanks! -Steve

You can buy the top post clamps anywhere they sell car audio.. they will have the hole for the battery cable and one for the amp wiring. I think even Best Buy sells them. Just make sure you buy a good one with very good clamps for the wiring, especially the starter cable.

ya ya, i know, they have them all over, But our battery has TWO wires on it already. Most clamps i see have only 2 inputs/outpus. Which means i would have no place for my amp wire.

There should be room for the two existing... most all cars have two wires coming from the terminal to start with. One to the starter (big wire) and one to the fuse box. I hate not having the ends soldered to the cables as they build oxidation and deteriorate faster, but when adding an amp wire I think that is your only choice unless you use a small torch to solder it all into the terminal end.

Nah, I used the set screw style 0 AWG ring terminal from Knukonceptz.

Until I throw in my Yellow Top and the rest of that stuff, it's the easiest thing to do while using the stock harness, IMO.

Sorry it's taken so long man. Busy day at the office here. Once our UPS pickup happens in about 20 minutes, I'll get the pic uploaded. Thanks for waiting

A trick I've seen work really well is to put some wheel bearing grease on your terminals. It might not look super pretty (like if you're showing the car) but it works awesome. A friend of mine does it to his once a month. I've *never* seen any kind of oxidation on his posts. You don't have to cake it on there, just lightly coat it.

It's kinda close, since that terminal is almost 1/4" thick...but good enough to make a nice connection
