Security System Screw Up
Just got my security system installed on my 07 Tc. I had the dealership install the system (because it was backordered since the time I got the car). When I picked up the car I didn't realize that the car doesn't recognize the driver's door when it opens. The dome light doesn't come on and the headlights do not turn off when the door is opened. The dealership is 2 hours away so it is a pain to drive up there and leave the car. You guys have any suggestions on what could be wrong?

first check to see if your power locks still work for your driver's door... if not.. then they forgot to plug something in.. and it's behind the panel by the dead pedal.
if it works... then you need to check the part number.
they changed the alarm system for the '07 tC and you may have gotten the wrong alarm installed
hmmm... the alarm box is located behind the glove box... orange label.... get back to me with it if you need to go that far.

Power door locks work fine....
It's amazing, wouldn't ya think that the technicians would check these things before they let the car out of the shop?
The security light comes on and the system apparently arms.
So what's next?

check the part number like i mentioned... i don't have the correct number to tell you what it should be at the top of my head... but post it and lemme verify it's the right one..
for any chance it is the right one.... then the issue will have to be looked into even further.
