Simple question... I think
So I finally got an HID kit in, I'll be installing it tonight. I know NOTHING when it comes to electrical stuff. When I install the relay to the battery, does the battery have to be disconnected? or is it safe if everything is just off? please try not to flame if you can resist! hah! anything else you think I should know please say so! Thanks!
yes, low voltage but high current, you can kill yourself pretty easily, only takes like 10 milliamps threw the heart to kill someone. unscrew the positive and negative, let them sit for about 10 min and then go do your work. don't let the positive terminal touch the negative wires ever and vice versa

I don't think I have ever disconnected a battery doing any install. I know there are hazzards involved like a spark igniting the battery vapors etc. I just hate losing the ECU learned mode and the presets on the stereo. I will keep my methods I suppose until it bites me in the ___.

Amazing how small 10 milliamps is too..........my testor for work will not even read that low.......but it will indeed kill a person..........infact 2 a day get killed by electricity I think the numbers from our certification class this year said........
disconnect the battery so you do not kill your car like I did my buddies last night changing his bulbs......at least it only cooked the fuse........LOL........but it sure was a pain.

Well turns out mod-express bulbs do not fit. I've changed my bulbs 1000 times switching between silverstars etc. it seems like the rubber o-ring is too fat anyone else have this problem? yes its a 9006, and yes its going into the low beam
