Default soldering iron question

will this iron be good for doing the leds in the gauges?

Man for $26-27 that is a sweet iron. Those clips are going to be god like when soldering wires. I dont know if it will be good for the car but any wires you have to solder it will pay for itself.

i got mine at radio shack for 8 dollars and it works fine. make sure you have something to clean the tips with thought. i think they sell something for that too.

thats a good all around soldering iron, .. for soldering LEDs in teh gauges. you want something with a pencil tip .. idealy with a adjustable temp but that gets expensive.. .. probabally your smaller fine tip low priced ones at frys. or radioshack or other electronics store will be fine .. i do soldering every day. and have multiple soldering irons with different features for different jobs.. its overkill but collections of tools just happen!

Honestly I would get that one and go to the store and buy different tips. I like that model a lot and is a lot nicer then my radio shack one
