Without installing a new HU because I love the iPod connectivity or new speakers, is there a way to make the darn thing sound better and louder?

I havent the slightest clue about car audio, Does an amplifier make it better, what does that ever do ?

Do those subwoofers make a big difference? I mean I dont want my trunck to sound like I had somebody kidnapped in it... You know what I mean...BOOM BOOM BOOM !

new speakers subs and amps,,, only way and most new hu will play ipods etc..

 

get components for the front and an amp to power them. that'll make a huge difference. for something decent pricewise that still sounds really nice, look at the elemental designs stuff. the edi6000s were going for like less than $150 recently, and they sound nice. i had them in the back of my car. i'm gonna put them in the front of this tc, and set up my kicker resolution comps as coaxials and mount those in the back.

 

I don't know if this works on the '04/'05, but on the '06, hold the center button (SSP or the like) for three seconds - you can now choose between xA/xB/tC - change it from tC to ANY of the other two which will sound much better.
I don't think that system sux at all - but I'm sure if someone drops 2k on a new one it will best it...
