Default sound deadening/noise reduction

i've searched all the threads i can find, but i havent seen any results on noise reduction after gutting and using edead or rammat on the entire car... im considering getting either a fm tc or a new G6 GTP, and i love how quiet the G6 is... if i can make the TC as quiet or even better then the G6 i'll be in like flint ( no pun intended).

also is there anything behind the dead pedal plastic thingy? IE is the floor flat behind it and the plastic thing is just a riser for your foot??

I'm pretty sure there is carpet behind the dead pedal.... I put mat back there anyways though...

I full RAAMMat'd my car and it's sooooo much quieter and everyone notices it.... The sound result from my subs and speaker setup is so much richer as well... the bass response increased 100 percent at least...

I was really questioning whether mat and foam would do anything, but was very impressed.

I love the raammat product, cheaper than almost any of the others, plus sticks really well.... make sure to add a coat of the foam they sell on top of the mat as well, that really adds to sound dampening.

RAAMmat is pretty much the better option as far as price / performance goes.

I have my car deadened with eDead. I'm happy with the results. I used the mat for the most part, with some liquid solution for the door panels. I do have small amount of asphault that leaked from out of the matted area. Nothing major, and this is through all of florida's super hott summer and parked outsite 24/7.

It gets quieter. It's not silent of course, but it does make a pretty good difference.

^ It's a great step in the right direction for a quieter ride... but we still have a 16 thousand dollar car.... can't have everything.

After doing the entire thing with eDead like shown in my sig, there's a 2-3 dB drop in the cabin. REALLY helps with all the noise coming in from the hatch...but unfortunately we do get stuck with a nice glass roof so noise up higher in the car isn't reduced as much since the wind over the cracks is loud.

I plan on doing a layer of Tek-Lite when I get time to see how much more of a drop there is with that.
