im a bit confused on how the watts levels...

in the listing it says 500 max watts per sub

i was planning on getting a jl audio 500/1 amp...so do those 500 watts go to both? or 250 to 250?....or how does it work...let me know asap thanks! ... or is it better to put this amp with this system?? http://cgi.ebay.com/Rockford-Fosgate...QQcmdZViewItem

regardless is this system good enough to give me some good bump?...or is this barely better than stock...

last thing i need is a good head unit....what is the best head unit i can get for 100 bucks?

JL audio is good, alpine type r is too

 

The ideal setup is an aftermarket headunit with pre-outs and good sound shaping options, a sub and an amp pushing equal or more watts than the sub's RMS. For $700, you're going to be hardpressed to find a high quality setup.

I would put about 200-300 on the HU then check out the sub/amp situation...

for the subs you have listed in that ebay auction, the Fosgate amplifier is going to be a better match as long as the auction listing information is correct.... The subs are both dual 4 ohm (probably wired for 4ohm mono load) and that RF amp says it puts out 1000x1 @ 4ohm mono....
