i'd recommend a new head unit. you can make stock speakers sound twice as good with an aftermarket head unit if you know how to adjust the crossovers on it

Leave the rears alone, they don't do much. The CDT S60 comp set is affordable, will perform nicely on the stock HU, and sound even better if you decide to amp them later on down the line. Under $100 over at Woofers Etc.

You will need baffles to mount the mids. I know a guy. Wink wink.

For a Novice or first0time installer, look for sales at Crutchfield. They give you so much free stuff, you could install a new head unit on your first try in half an hour.

I've had success with Alpine HUs. Some even come with a free iPod cable.
