Default speed sensor wire?

i just got the pioneer avic z1, and i was wondering where the speed sensor wire was...and if you don't do anything to it, what are the consequences? is this the wire that the unit uses to sense whether or not your moving so you can't watch dvds while moving, or it actually important? let me know asap!!!

isnt that the same as the e-brake wire or something? where you have to have your e-brake on in order to watch a movie, a lot of people bypass this, tho if you get caught driving watching a movie its gonna be an expensive ticket

You just need to ground it somwhere else. But I think some of the new one's have it so you can't bypass it (easily, at least). Just hope that's not the case.

search.

pin 17 plug 2 on ecu.. purple.

avic's use it to know and calculate how fast you are going.. as well as to use certain features.

however the car's movement detection cannot be defeated regardless because of the gyroscope and the gps.

google is your friend as well....
