Default Speedometer stuck at 0 mph..

I'm a little over 65k miles in my '05 tC, and the other week I noticed some of the needles didn't 'wave' when I started the car up, but ticked like a clock with a low battery. A few days ago the fuel guage stopped working. Yesterday, it was the tach, and this morning the speedometer stopped, then started working but with a heavy delay. It's unusual that so many people have reported the same issue occuring at ~65k miles.

My tach and fuel gauge just died at 102,000 miles on my 2005 tC.

Yeah this has been happening to my 2005 Scion tC where the gas meter and speed odometer would sometimes work and not work... mainly the gas meter. It's been happening since 2010 and never bothered with it til now since I'll be giving my car to my younger sister . As I always thought I believe it's a soldering issuing since Toyota Corolla 2005 and older has solder issues with the ECU so that was recalled for safety issues. I believe it's a solder issue with the cluster unit since there are 6 main solder
joints connecting the analog motor to each gauge. I just resoldered it and applied new solder to the joint and seems to work Only time can tell if I drive it the next week or so . I'll put up details later once I confirm that it's a fix, but I do believe Toyota did a

poor soldering job on those units since I also fixed a HP Laserjet P2015 format board because of poor solder job as well as other stuff. Anyway will keep people updated...
I know cold weather and hot weather did affect it since it makes sense since cold would shrink the solder joint and hot would expand the solder joint and create a cracked solder joint.
