First off, you are in no way stupid for just starting at the top.

My first "real" fg project is my hatch.

Just take your time. That's really all there is too it. As far as how long it's going to take to set, depends on how hot the mix is. I'd just follow the manufacturer recommendation and it shouldn't take that long between layers. Just GO SLOW.

Make sure whatever you don't want glass on is taped/foiled. Don't want resin on your tC

Let this be an inspiration:

If I can put 32 speakers in my hatch, just about anyone can do anything...just be patient....I sound like a broken record on that one, but patience w/ your first foray into glassing is key. Don't want to end up bending it wrong and starting over.

Also, little dimples etc. are OK...that's why they invented body filler.

One more thing, buy your resin/glass from a marine supply store if possible. They're usually a lot cheaper than wal-mart/auto stores, and you can buy in larger quantities

No sound stage moving, it'll only be 63Hz and down so non-directional bass...just loud as hell.

2 Nine.1's roughly 2.5-3K...depending on how well the electrical system holds up
