Default steering control 2006/2007

search isn't helping me any, are the 2006 steering control same as 2007?

PAC SWI-JACK has 2006 tC listed as compatible but does not have 2007. I'm wondering if it's just an outdated listing or if 2007 is different from 2006.

this is the only cables that I can find that are compatible with Kenwood DNX7100 and I'd love to keep my steering wheel controls.

emu. the pac is great. i have it in my 01 pathfinder (ir b/c that's what we had in 05 when we installed) with a kenwood unit. i also have the wired one (same one u are contemplating) with the 06 tc and a kenwood ddx7019. both work great. there is a little lag, but you get used to it and i don't even notice. the only hangup is hitting the track back button on the steer wheel. sometimes you have to hit it repeatedly to go back one song..... but forward works just like it should. mode and volume +/- are flawless. funny thing with the IR model on the pathy, the mode button doesnt work anymore, but that was probably due to my lack of the programming procedure. be patient while programming. that might take up to 30 minutes.... grab a sandwich and a beer. you will enjoy this install for years to come.

Okay, I am trying to install my PAC SWI-PS, but I am having an issue. This may sound like a retarded question, but where the hell does the plug go? The instructions say to "Connect the plug to back of radio's steering wheel input jack or harness", but I am not sure where that is.

Anyone want to help me out a little?

Oh yeah, I know that this is not exactly the right place to post this, but I can't figure out where to make a new post and I am getting pretty annoyed looking for it.

Yeah... I'm retarded. Lemme alone. Just help. Please

huh? the only plug you got is the one that goes into the headunit itself.

everything else is you splicing and hooking up wires to the vehicle. read the instructions more thoroughly.

Right... I copied and pasted the instructions.

The problem is that I don't know where it goes. I have a Pioneer AVIC Z-1. There is no place for that plug to go. Everything else is spliced. I just need to know where this thing goes.

Okay, as stated before... I'm a retard.

I found it. It was on the end of one of the plug ins. I didn't see it because the loose wires were rolled up for a cleaner look... it was in the middle of the roll. LoL.

connector 2. where's the wiring harness that goes into it?
(looks like you need to buy it separately. heh.. oops.. oh well.)

read page 7 of the Z1 installation manual.. if you even have it.
(manuals are your friend)

Okay, moving along to other problems.

I connected it and nothing happened. The steering wheel is not even lighting up. Just to make sure that I have this right, (cause I can't seem to find the install for this thing anywhere... other than for the xB).

Pin 6 (Orange wire) to ground
Pin 7 (Pink wire) to PAC SWI-PS white wire
Pin 8 (Green wire) to PAC SWI-PS white wire with a resistor in line

No other wires (other than power and ground for SWI) need to be connected. Is this correct? I can program the damn SWI but it just won't work.

NVM. I got it... I had a bad ground. I hate it when that happens.
