Default Steering Wheel Interface Adapter?

I am trying to decide whether or not to get a new HU. I have an '06 tC. With the following HU, will I need to buy a seperate steering wheel interface adapter such that my steering wheel controls will work? or will they automatically work with it? Where can I get one?

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-CIx3GKV...4032&s=0&cc=01

Also, is that one any good?

You will need to buy an adapter for your steering controls for ANY head unit other than the factory one. Crutchfield sells them for under $80

not any other than... you forgot about the eclipses..

you can buy a nice eclipse AVN which will directly plug and play into the stock harness and will work with the controls as well.

or.. you can get rid of your steering wheel controls all together and donate it to an '05 who wants it... do a little swap.

eclipses are plug and play

for any other HU you'll need the adapter. It's pretty easy to install... i just have to fix mine cus I broke something -_-
I heard they tend to die after certain periods of time though.

if your talking about the pac swi-ps (link doesn't work)... it's made of super cheapass plastic.

there also seems to be a slight delay between pushing the button and the unit actually doing something... but that might just be me... :X
