Default Steering Wheel Volume Button Sticking

Can anyone tell me how to take off the audio controls on the steering wheel, I'm pretty sure there is something in there because it only sticks when it's cold, it works fine when it's warm outside.

I think you need to take the airbag out to access the screws holding the controls onto the steering wheel. To take off the airbag you have to disconnect the battery and wait a minute then you can remove the bolts (panels on the side of the wheel) to remove the bag.

and i would use some electronics cleaner to free it up.

Just remove a few screws and it comes out real easy.

2 T-30 torx screws, 1 phillips head screw.. a ziptie and plug..
3 small screws to disassemble the controls.. and a flathead to pry it open.

clean with water if there's anything gooey/sticky inside.

no need to disconnect the battery since you're not unplugging the airbag.. but hey.. if you really want to... be my guest.

Thank you guys for the quick responses, I'll try it today and let you know what happens, I'm not sure what could be in there though, the only thing I could think of is that I switched to a glossy interior detailer instead of matte.
