Default Stock Speakers Scion TC 2007 R.S. 3.0

Ok guys I just noticed yesterday my Back passenger Stock SPeaker is blown out, (I think) I mean because I can't hear anything at all from it, so I was wondering..........

Should I go to my scion dealer and purchase a new stock speaker to replace it (by any chance will it be under warrenty)?

OR

Should I just purchase a new pare of speakers with just a bit more power, but same brand of sepakers (pioneer)and replace the older ones? If so Which u recommend?

Also I purchased the Pioner Avic 90BT does that have to do with anything?

won't be under warranty (pretty sure) and def just get new coax's for the back and components for the front as u'll get them for a lot lower price and better quality.

check sonicelectronix.com (where i get all of my stuff) for some good ones like kicker, polk, jl, ect.... tons cheaper than buying at best buy or CC or a local audio shop

Hey Thank you for the 411 I really apppreciate

Also...

What kind of rear speakers do you recommend (can you please advice by mentioning an actual Model)

I'm asking because all other speakers will remain stock and really would just want to replace back speakers not anything else.

Also I would want my sound to sound as good as it did with the stock speackers I mean if it can sound better cool I just dont want to have to purchase extra's...

My car also came with a sub I think 10in in the trunk...

Thank you,

Dee

The same thing happen to me a few months ago with my RS 3.0. I went to the dealer and they replaced it for a new one. They told me that it was covered by the warranty, so I didn't have to pay for anything n_n!

i just replaced all of my stocks with alpine type s 6.5 in my rs4.
eventually i am going to replace my hu but the upgraded pioneer is doing an ok job for the moment.
i got them off of ebay new for $120 (4 speakers) when best buy sells them at $110 for 2 speakers. they sounds really good. also planning on getting them on an amp when i replace the hu.

it does sounds better, on the stocks i had the treble set to max (5)but with these, i had to move it down to 1-2 because it does a great job on the high pitch.

you dont need an amp, they sounds great right now, but to really use them to they fullest potential, its best to have them on an amp but not necessary.

i have an alpine type e 12' sub so thats why i had the treble up so high, not trying to be a treble rebel like some cars i hear.

If you already installed the new stereo they will most likely not honor the warranty on the speakers. If they are running off the aftermarket deck you most likely just turned it up too loud. You know that point where the music stops getting louder and it just starts distorting, don't do that. Factory decks they try to mostly protect you from reaching this "clipping" point.

^ thats true. when i took them out there was a big difference in the quality of materials used. if you like to listen to your music loud, then i would say save up and get aftermarket speakers and hu. its like night and day

So basically you guys mean it would be pretty pointless to get stick with the stock speackers because of my Avic right?

Gee I wish the guy who have told me this when I purchased the Avic....I mean I did noticed it says athat the Avic 90ft had like xtra volts or something but I didn't understand what that ment.....

I guess I'll just purchase some aftermarket speakers.....How many watts should I get so I wont have to purchase the amp?

I'm just going to go buy myself the 2 set of speakers for the back then....

Any other suggestions?

Thanx, Dee

yea, dont stick with stock since you upgraded your hu

"How many watts should I get so I wont have to purchase the amp? "

not too sure what you mean by this but basically you dont need an amp. any speaker that fits will work but remember you get what you pay for.

this is what you're getting out of your hu
Built-in Amplifier MOSFET ( 50 watts Peak / 22 watts RMS x 4 Channels )

the alpines that i got handles up to 240W peak power (80W RMS)

i'm thinking your stock speakers didn't blow.. and the wiring is just messed up.
why buy something when you possibly don't need it?

as i mentioned already... check your wiring first.

well, you can take it back to them and have them check it out or you can take apart either the center dash and mess with the radio wires or take apart the panels around the speaker that is messed up and rig up some wires to reverse the connection.

how long ago was the hu installed?

I got it installed in Late July.....But you see the thing about it is that I have never sat in my back seat before, so I honestly don't know if this was a problem since they installed the Avic I mean I guess I'll check the wire myself or take it to a shop near by bcux I got the Avic pretty far from my houses.....

There were only certain parts where they were selling the Avic....

Thanxx guyz,

Dee

Polks are nice. Somtimes you can find them "Buy 1 set of speakers and get the 2nd set half off".
Some people are going to tell you not to even bother with rear speakers. (I'm not one of them.) I threw
Polk Components in the rear and well as the front and there is a noticeable difference in the sound.
I decided to take advantage of the new components and add an amp. The sound was even better.

(Note; the Polks sounded good to me. You may hear differently than me so it's a good idea to go to
a local audio shop and listen to different speakers. If you find some you like, search online for the cheapest
price.)
