So I bought a Scion radio. (t1806 + a ipod wire that connects to the back to the head unit) The weird thing is that when I tried three different ipods, they charge but won't play on the head unit. The wire was suppose to allow me to control the ipod through the headunit, but it didn't do that. what could be wrong.

etc... I installed the headunit on a toyota pickup truck.

 

did you change ur input by pressing "AUX" twice? that'll take you to the ipod menu. and when you unplug ur ipod, does it say "bye bye ipod"?

if not, maybe it doesnt work on ur pick up since these were designed for scions.

 

it shouldnt matter if its pick up truck or not . as long as ur radio is the one that can control ipod it dosent matter. radio is what controling sound and able to play c and stuff. not the truck. try to take every thing out and reconnect it back on. if it dosent do it well idk what i can tell u. cuz i need to be able to c how did u connect it

I connected the wire to the bottom left corner. the ipod still wont fully connect to the headunit. it just charges.
