Sub Floor Enclosures??
Has anyone here built an acyrlic or plexi subfloor enclosure, where their spare tire sits in the trunk?? I have a cnc router at work and thinking about custom cutting an inch thick plexi and etching it, throwing in 2 12s and amps under the plexi with leds lighting the entire floor, please post pictures or diagrams if anybody has completed this project, also maybe some head unit photos as well, im thinking to steer away from the aftermarket deck with the cubby hole, what dvd units fit perfectly??

eD has a box you can buy that fits in the area to the right of the spare:
With one of their SQ-10 subs: $205

Just the enclosure for use with another 10" shallow mount sub: $150

There are a few people who have made their own enclosures here, look around in this interior forum.

itll be sturdy where i can toss stuff in the trunk like normal, half inch might do fairly well also, im gonna start the project soon, take out the tire and lay it out on the computer then select my products and build the interior of the box

In one inch, that's easily $400 worth of acrylic/polycarb. The 2' x 2' size 1/4" thick piece of abrasion-resistant acrylic I used for my amp cover was almost $30.
I def. wanna see pics if this operation goes down.
