Well i just finished installing my new JVC reciver.

Its really nice but i have the stock sub that i got with my RS2 package and i dont know if it can be hooked up to my reciver without a lot of work. Im not that upset but the radio did sound better with it on. Also if anyone else has this reciver pm me so i can ask them some questions.

 

Test some wires and figure it out... Was there an extra harness connected to the old HU for the sub? Chances are you can prob use those wires for connecting to your new HU, but I haven't seen anyone do it. There was a thread somewhere where somebody took the sub out and there was a small amp driving the sub. Let us know how it goes, cuz the stock HU is driving me nuts with the lack of sub level adjustment.

 

Alright ill try that. And yes there are 2 sets of wires not being used. I assume that one is for the stering wheel and one for the sub. Im not sure if there labeled . But ill try it out. I was actually thinking of replacing the sub with a better one while im at it. What size is it? 8"

 

the RS2 has a 6.5" in the floor of the trunk I believe

could look into replacing it with an Elemental Design EU-700 6.5" subwoofer... would need an external amp to power it..
