Default Subs goin in and out

Ok recently I've been having this problem. My subs seem to be goin in and out. I'm using the OEM head unit so I have one of those Signal - RCA converter things behind the head unit. It's definitely something past the head unit, meaning converter, wire, amp, or speaker problem because last time it happened I faded between the front and back and the back speakers(which the subs are connected to) worked even though the subs didn't. The subs only seem to go out while I'm driving. I keep trying to catch the problem so that I could check out the amp and speakers if somethings wrong but so far the problems been able to correct itself before I could stop, open my trunk and check it out. I'm assuming that its just a lose wire, probably the remote wire or something but I was wondering if there is anything else that I should check while I'm back there. I don't feel like taking apart the dash a couple times.

I would check your ground wire first, that is normally a big problem find a good ground that will be hard to be pulled out, ripped out etc. like mentioned above cheapy RCA cables will be a problem to also do not cheap out on the speaker wire it self, I have all rockfordfosgate wiring with Monster speaker wire....

i did do it by myself. hmmm. I'll check my ground wire. I have it connected underneith the bolt of the little clip thingy in the trunk. The bit that has the wooden spring thingies for the seats. I'll check that connection. This morning I poped my trunk open and noticed that the Fuse holder was open. Is it possible that this was the fault behind it or not really? The RCA wires I got with the entire sub amp kit so I'm not sure of the quality. I'll check everything when I get home.

It's odd tho because they've been working fine for a good... 4 months? something like that. It only recently started to happen.

haha. no way any of my friends would drive my car. Only like 2 of them actually know how to drive stick anyway. I remounted the amp and the problem has seemed to go away for now. maybe it was a lose wire or something. Not sure.

Yup. i used some sand paper and sanded the surface I little. When it warms up a little bit I'll take a look at the grounding point once again.
