Hello Everyone,

I want to suede my dash, and I was curious if anyone has, I am thinking the gauge cluster would make it tricky. I do know that FiveAxis did a Suede dash on a tC, with the stock gauges, but has anyone that doesn't have FiveAxis's ability done it?

well... looking at the dash... i would take a good guess at it and say you wont be able to make a single piece stretch over the entire dash and gauge... you will most likely have to get your sewing skills up and custom make and sew a shroud to fit over just the gauges... then one solid piece over the rest... just a decent guess...

 

youll probly have a couple seams but with suade,they souldnt be very visible..............itll look good.

i was gonna attempt the same thing with blk leather.

are you talking about the dash board? because you should be able to do that with a single sheet. and it should be that hard. ask ih8tcvcx he did it (i dont think thats how you spell his screen name but w/e)

ummmmm,.....where is the gauge cluster in that pic?

getting the dash out will be the hardest part. One yard of suede should do the whole dash in one piece. just get good quality suede and it should stretch out fine. all the stretching youll have to do will be around the gauge cluster anyway, and that looks like a piece of cake.

actually, getting the dash out is really simple. the cars like a lego, come apart and back together fairly easy. took me 15 min to take off the dash, just follow the direction on pg 1.

 

This is pretty cool...can't wait to see completed pics!

 

if you find all the screws the dash almost falls out with a tug on each side..........it almost drove me nuts finding the last 2 screws.........suede dash would look really nice.......
