Default swi-ps diagram from 06 question

i got an 07 tc, i bought the swi-ps interface kit, for my D3, cause i would really like to stay with the control on the steering wheel. can i use the installation guide for the 06 tc. the installation papers doesnt show 07 tc.

Yeah, i seen the diy's looks pretty easy, before i started pluggin stuff i wanted to make sure it would be fine. another thing is when i connect the swi-ps am i just taping into wires or do i have to actually cut some wires.

07 should be the same as 06

i taped into my wires.. soldered the resistor though

I soldered the leads of the resistor onto a bigger gauge wire that i could use to tap into it's locations. All's well here, about 9 months later.

Now, the plug where im going to tap into the leads, where the hell is that plug i was looking for it and couldnt find it. is it under the steering wheel or in the radio compartment. been looking for for diy's but can't find where it's at

The white wire goes to one of the wires on the unused harness behind the HU. There are the 2 that plug into the head unit, and then there's the extra one.

On the extra one, on one side will be a pink orange and green wire. These are the ones you will need to use.

There should have been a yellow piece of paper that gives you the website for the scion instructions. Just follow those, they tell you exactly what you need to do.

I'm sure there was another thread about this somewhere...

gizmo that plug thats on that link you sent me, thats the plug im going to tap into. that i know. what i want to know is where is that plug. is that the plug that i connect the factory radio harness to.

that plug is where the factory hu harness is at

its the only one with 20pin config on it
