Tapping/Connecting to a Line Out Converter
Ok, So I've been having problems with my subs and pulsing. I've been trying to tap my front speaker wires, and whenever I would plug the plug into the control box for the underbody kit, or touch metal, the subs will pulse. Well I contacted Oznium, and they told me:
I do have a Line Out Converter since I still have a stock headunit. So how do I tap the line out? Do i just strip the wire a lot and put it in between the RCA connectors?
You need to tap into a line level output. Tapping into the speakers will not work. You will most likely need an aftermarket stereo, since the stock stereo does not have line level outputs.
explain how your hooking an underbody kit up again....
if your subs pulse, say when you change sources, this is normal for an rca converter. PAC makes a 'trunk-loc' which is a converter that has a triggered remote output, which greatly reduces the pulsing.
if there pulsing all the time than you need to check connections of your ground, rca, and where you tapped into the speaker wires for singnal.
hope this helps...

okay i would try useing a adjustable LOC (a new one not the one for the subs) and turn it all the way down. how does the kit receive the signal? regular speaker wire, or rca? and if you still got the pulse. you could try installing diodes in the speaker wire part of the LOC. so that a signal could go through but not back into your system. also if your LOC for the subs is tapped into the front then the new LOC should be tapped into the rear speakers.
