when i bought my car in 07 i added the scion security system, well my car was recently broken into and the alarm did not go off,I tried some tests of my own clicking the lock door button then openening the door and nothing happens and the car still starts,is there a certain way to arm it or check it? Im going to call scion tomorow and see whats up,i actually feel there is no alarm system installed,the panic button does work.

 

When you use the key to unlock the door the alarm should deactivate. try opening it from the inside with the alarm on. Do you have the security led and mic in your switch panel?

 

i did try opening the door while in the car with the alarm on and nothing happens,im not sure what you mean by security led and mic in the switch panel,where do i look for that exactly? what switches panel do you mean?

 

The one just left of the steering wheel and under the hvac vent. The one that contains the mirror controls and like 4 blank spots for accessories. One of those should be used for the alarm.

 

i just checked it and 3 of the squares are unused and the forth one is my foglight button so I assume they didnt install the alarm?

 

you say there should be an led in one of those little squares?

 

Yeah. It should flash when the alarm is active. it has "scion security" written o it and it looks like:
The dealer should also have put a scion security sticker on your front windows.
Sounds like you don't have it.

 

definitly looks like i dont have it but my bill clearly shows that i paid for it,Im going over ther tomorrow,they better refund me the amount of the alarm or put one in for me or they will will have a law suit on their hands,I have proof that i paid,obviously sombody over there goofed.
