thanks for the reports -- can't really see a reason not to get the CC short shifter with all those positive remarks -- $69 with free shipping ain't so bad either.
I did notice that the B & M is stainless, where the CC is aluminum....but I doubt that makes any difference, I can't imagine breaking the thing... woo hoo!
Upcoming: blue silicone hoses...lightweight pulley (is zpi's new one really any better than A-P?), short shifter.....then the supercharger, yeah...

I got the CC shifter, and it wasn't great. Very sticky and too tight even with lots of grease. I opted for the TWM Stage 1. I tried a car with Stage II and it was too short for my taste. This TWM shifter is very crisp and predictable, and was shipped immediately.
If anyone gets the ARK shifter on their cars (see previous post), please post your comments.

I just installed the CC shifter... It is a bit notchy but I like it... very positive feel to the engagement but I can see how some might not like that... It's short enough for me... I think the stage 2 twm might have been too low for me... mine came with a generic chrome **** but of course I just used my momo ****.... I think it's improved my 1st to 2nd transitions... those are always the hardest to execute cleanly anyways... but at $70... can't beat it...
well, I put 1-2k miles on my cc shifter, driving in traffic always, and it still sticks to the left and right. I lubed the hell out of it too with white lithium grease. It could also be due to the fact that 06 models have two extra metal clips that hold down the plastic where the main ball of the shifter goes. The added pressure from those metal clips (which really are stiff as hell) may be causing the excessive stiffness.
I recently installed the CC short shifter on my 05 tc, I also found the clips that hold on to the plastic, where the shifter is in the middle. I thought I didn't add extra lubricant so it's tight, but it looks like it is not the problem.
