Default tC Sun Visor with some *pics*

Does anyone have a driver's side sun visor to spare. Mine broke this afternoon. Feels like it came apart on the inside... I may take it apart, but that involves sewing it back together.

Here is whats left:

Here is a side profile of the latch that pops out on its own, if anyone has any ideas on how to fix this also, let me know!!! (glue wont work)

I had this happen to me and the dealer replaced the visor for free. You should at least give them a call. It couldn't hurt.

In your pics...that's EXACTLY where mine broke! Odd how 2 peeps visors broke in the exact same spot. I would still give the dealer a call. Here's another option...

trdsparks.com

I know they're a little expensive but this is always an option. Also, I would email Ken @trdsparks and see if he can hook you up witn an OEM visor. He's helped me out big time when I need new/extra parts!

Could you please repost the pictures? I have this problem too, but yours is the only post I've found on the subject.

wow, its been years since that post, I had forgotten about that happening completely, sold my car, etc... anyways, in response, Im not sure if I could find those pics on my pc, but I remember the latch needing to handle a lot of force, so nothing could fix it. I ended up buying a new one. If your car is still under warranty, then theyll replace it for free.

Anybody have pictures on how to fix this? Mine just broke for the second time! I have a 2005. First time was under warranty so they replaced it. Certainly not the quality I expect from Toyota.

Anybody else had theirs broken and what year? From here, it's all 2005's. So maybe any new ones, they must have fixed it by now or make sure not to buy used from a 2005?

old thread but yea I have the same issue (05 tc also). For more than a year now I just don't use the visor but I'd like to fix it. It is expensive on trdsparks... or I could just cut it open at the stitching on the far edge and try to glue it back.
