Lol, I had a friend call me up and tell me about this post! (What's up Chet!!!)

Thanks guys, I'm glad you are happy with my work! I love modding, I think your gauges are my best ones yet!

I took a lot of pictures (and some pics with the flash on). I'm going to upload them to my site, and post them here to. I'll do it tomorrow.

Paul :D

P.S. Wes, I forgot to give you business cards. I'll give you some when I do your alarm. Tasha, you too, when you come back I'll give you some cards. Shame on me....

What's up Carlos!! Lol!

Well, I don't have a write up, but I pretty much re-routed the LED's. I did paint the needles with white acrylic paint, but they are also illuminated with white LED's, and the gauges are illuminated with blue LED's.

This install took me A LOT longer than a normal install (6 hours total - gauges, led rerouting, and the mirrored trim - sorry David!). I was testing, and experimenting, and it didn't help having friends over crackin jokes! It's hard to solder and work when you are dying of laughter! Lol, good times!!! hahahahaha.....

AHAHA I had to think for a second i thought the "flash picture" was something you did in your car, not on your camera!

Wow that's really nice..Good job...

QUESTION:

how did he do the needles? Did he just sand and paint? or did he have to custom add an led behind the needle?

Nice job indeed!

no sand! gah... just use alcohol to rub the orange off and re-paint

however yes.. he did a custom led job behind the needle and such which is the only way it'll turn out perfectly white without the blue leds for the gauges bleeding in.

NICE! Is there a pic of the board that he did.

I'm in Hawaii so I try to do everything myself... i can't always pay for shipping to the mainland everytime I want to mod something...

Is it as easy as adding another PLCC-2 in parallel and aim it toward the needle?

oh and thanks for telling me not to sand... knowing me..i would have screwed it all up
