Default Thoese with DDX 7015, PLEASE READ!!!

Hey guys hows it going. I ordered the DDX 7015 and also got the spacers model # 86221-52060 and 86221-52050. Ive read some installs so I know I can use the stock brace to hold it in, just gotta drill some holes to make it fit. Couple of questions...

1)where did you get the wiring harness for the unit?

2)How did you mount the spacers, did ta glue em in or something?

3) How did you modify the the unit to play while your car is driving?

THanks alot!

Well I got a AVIC-D1, but the wire harness should be the same. I used this one:

since its a jap car and the ddx is a standard double din, the screw holes will line up perfectly. However, the radio door does not shut this way - i just redrilled the screw holes on the existing metal brackets, works fine. pics are in this thread:

Where can I get these spacers? Can I get them at a walmart or something or some place online? Thanks!

No those spacers are only through your toyota dealer. They are from a celica I believe. I used 3M black foam tape to mount mine.

If I go to a toyota/scion dealer and ask for them, will they know what I'm talking about? Are the 86221-52060 and 86221-52050 part numbers valid?

Yes they will know. I emailed Ken from TRDSparks.com and gave him the part #'s and he got them for me for only a couple of bucks.

spacers are used for trim, makes the install look more finished.

Did anyone manage to install the 86221-52050/86221-52060 with the avic-d1 and the bracket mod (drilling)? I can't seem to find the holes needed to put mount the dash kit. THe bracket also seems to be obstructing the dash kit. Any ideas?
