so i got my windows tinted a week ago today and the guy at the shop told me not to roll my windows down for 7 days (until today). earlier tonight i had to roll my window down to talk to sombody and i figured i would be okay to do so. when i tried putting the window back up it didn't want to come back up. it came up a little and went back down, so i hit it again and it came up a little more and back down. kept doing this until i got it to come all the way up. after this the window looked smeared/fogged up but after i opened the sunroof it went bakc to normal. i guess the cold air helped this. i was wondering if everything was going to be okay or if the window was going to be messed up. it's dark out so i can't tell if it looks normal or not now. i have a lifetime warranty so they will fix my problem if i have one, but i am just wondering.

It should be fine after like 3 days.

 

Generally, in the colder months it may take longer for the adhesive to completely cure (possible reasoning for 7 days instead of 3).... but you shouldn't have a problem.... like you said, if there is a problem - take it back to the shop..

 

You should be fine.

If you're really worried, I'd see if the shop put your doors back together correctly. They failed to do this to mine. Simple fix, take off the door panel, make sure the weather strip is on right, blah blah blah.

 

on this subject how much did you pay and how much have others paid? i got a quote today for 189$ but i got a dude who knows a dude who owns a shop so im sure ill get it much cheaper ha

 

usually shops charge around 160-190 but i paid 250 for mine and i got 3m tint with a lifetime warranty

 

I had Llumar 35% tint, life time warranty. Paid $180

 

I'll probably be getting 30% Llumar this summer

 

i got mine for $110.
this guy did my prv car, and my bro's car, and my bro's wife car.
life time warranty. if i see any bubbles or anything, i take it back, and he does it over.
he's a coo dude.
i have limo tint all the way around.

so i guess i get mine the cheapest

 

You may want to try to resetting the windows.

Roll them 1/2 way down and wait a few secs.
Now, hold the up switch and keep it pressed for 3-4 secs after it reaches the top.

Jeez, you guys paid a ton. When I got my windows tinted I paid $140 for all the way around + got a tint strip/visor on the windshield.
