Just got a Tom Tom One Yesterday...and was wondering if anyone else has GPS equipment in their Tcs, and if so where to you mount them?

I am wanting to hard-wire mine in, but it uses a USB adapter for the power so I'm not for sure exactly what wires to conntect them to.

Any help or idea would be great!

 

i have the garmin nuvi 350. came with a suction cup mount and a plastic disc, in case you dont want to mount it to the windshield. so i actually stuck the disc on the stereo cover, and suction cup it to there. it works pretty well there cuz then i dont have to reach for it. the only drawback obviously is when i want to control the stereo ('05, no steering wheel controls ). but i can open the cover just enough to get to the volume and station presets. it has an internal rechargeable battery so i dont have to worry about plugging it in while in the car, except for long road trips (which i haven't had to do yet).

 

Right now I have it at the top left corner of the winshield, kinda crowded with my hard-wired radar detector.

Was thinkin about putting it above the rear-view or even mounting it on the left side of the dash where the pillar and dash meet...

What do ya think?

I already have a hole in my dash, so i would make another and recess it into the dash. Probably dead chenter, a little behind the center air vents.
