I've had two 12's in my car for several years. I guess the vibrations fouled up some connections somewhere because my third brake light doesn't light up at all anymore.

I got it to work once by squeezing the connecting harnesses together but this time I took the entire hatch apart to get better leverage and tightened everything down. Still nothing.

I know I've read over the years of this happening. What exactly is the problem, and how do you fix it?


Search yielded some Oznium DIY's (which I plan to get) but not much else. I want to fix this. Pretty sure its illegal too.

I've never had this happen because I never had a trunk sound system.

I love Oznium products (now)
But I've heard many mixed reviews with their full TBLs going out prior to 2010.
From single LEDs, to clusters, to the full thing going out.. They're great with their warranty, so you might want to see what they can do for you.

 

Got the Oznium on there now.
