I think what your missing is under the know that controls the temp... gently pry that the **** off, and I believe its a twelve mm nut that holds it all in.. and after getting that out, it should release the board from the cover.. hope this helps ya..

It was really hard to pull the **** off...
I did mine and friend's and it was pain in the a$$ to pull it out....
I've just lift it little bit there is like 3 holes and you can push it in with some fine point and lift and **** cover will come off and you can pull out the clear plastic **** hard as you can with plier.... then there is a nut you need to remove....

11mm nut.

and next time.... after you remove the 6 screws... just push from the front on the buttons so the unit slides out underneath leaving and taking off the ****.

no prying necessary.

I'm just worry that if you push through like that, **** base might crack at the circuit board....

......? what makes it any different from prying off the **** with a screwdriver or any other tool and possibly scratching/mutilating the **** unnecessarily?

i think i've taken apart the console many times enough to know what works best.

remove 6 screws... no need to take apart the unit yet (the plastic back.. unlike so many people do...)

remove the unit with aforementioned method... remove hazard button, remove nut... then open the unit... remove screws.
