Okay, I finally decided to take some extra pictures and do a tutorial. Enjoy!
The LED's needed are 3 PLCC LED's, and 5 1206 LED's. If you need some good ones, I have them for sale.
(Click the pictures for full size image)
STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS:
TOOLS NEEDED:
- Torx 30 Bit
- Phillips Screw Driver
- Snips (to cut 1 zip tie)
Step 1: Remove the torx screws on either side of the steering wheel. This will allow you to access the screw for the steering wheel controls. When you first unscrew the screw, you will have to turn hard. you WILL hear a snap. Don't worry, this is the screw coming loose. You don't have to take out the screws! Just leave them in there, but make sure they are loose.

Step 2: Gently pull back on the air bag unit. If it doesn't easily come out, try loosening the screws some more. You can let it rest on the wheel. DO NOT UNPLUG THE AIRBAG!! If you do, disconnect the negative battery terminal. Wait until the mod is finished, plug in the airbag, and plug in the negative battery terminal last.

Step 3: Unscrew 1 phillips screw that holds the steering wheel control box in.

Step 4: Pull out the control box.

Step 5: Cut the white zip tie that holds the wires to the box. Unplug the harness.

Step 6a: Disassemble the box, desolder the LED's, and replace them with your new ones! (I didn't take many pics of this step).

Step 6b: Ship the box to me to mod!
Door Control Mod:
Tools Needed: A good prying tool
Step 1: Pry up the door controls. Start at the back side of the controls. After you pry it up, you will slide it out. Unscrew, disassembly and mod (or send to me to mod). :D

The finished product!!

Lol! I almost did that.
My hook tool is from Sears (I think). A lot of my hand tools are craftsman (for the warranty). Just go there and get a hook tool (I don't know the real name, thats what I call it).
