What do you think about clear coating speakers with blue UV paint and then placing 2 UV leds for each one. hope itll make a sik blue come out from it. Ordered clear neon paint and the leds for dirt cheap at oznium.com. Please tell me what you think and ill post pics when im done

 

If you paint your speakers when the move the paint will crack off the foam area. If you just paint the cone of the speaker that would work great, and probably look really cool too! Props for being creative!

 

this paint doesnt crak, it very thin and it it used on clothing, walls plastics and such. i not running stock speakers, i have infinitys in the fron and am replacing my poped infinitys in the rear with polk speakers because of the better bass. ive done this stuff forcomputer mods on my friends computers but gonna be fun doing it on my car adn maybe my subs

 

Yea that sounds like it would work perfectly. The only dilemma I can think of is if the paint on the foam would cause it to react and crack or I dunno, I would probably only paint the cone of the speaker

 

ya it is only the cone im painting anyways, be weird with the rubber painted too, so i can just have a floating circle with a hole, all speakers are 2 ways

 

some paints/other materials can actually cause the surround to deteriorate.... not sure if this is one of those materials though

sure will, i just installed my new rear speakers. just gotta wait for the leds to arrive thurs and no word yet on the paint. ordered it last night.
