Default visors

i was wondering is anyone has re wrapped there visors. my interior guy said if he was to re wrap them i would loose the mirrors. i was looking at them before and it felt like i could pull the mirror and the sun shade thing out. has anyone done this and was able to keep the mirrors?

I'm in the process of rewrapping mine now. I have my passengers side done, just finishing up the drivers side. I just popped the mirror part out.

I sewed 3 sides around, slipped it over the visors, and glued the 4th side. For the little clip piece, I cut the suede in the same shape and glued it together. Again, hard to describe, but I can post pics when I get home from work.
