Has anyone customized their seats before? How much did it cost, what should I expect? Got any pics?

What do you mean by customized?

If you're referring to leather. It's gonn run you anywhere from $850(Katzkin) to $1,200(Dealership) But in my opinion its worth it.

And if you want pictures, try the search button up top.

does the katzkin leather kit include pieces for the doors, the rear passenger side panels, and the center console lid?

Oh really? You have an account with LVMH?

No? My point stands. Sorry to be a jackass, and to each his own (and call me a snob,) but I think knock-off anything is tacky. Might as well put a Type R sticker on your car.

if you mean custom, and not that katzkin crap, then you go to an auto upholstery place.

custom upholstery done by a shop will start at over $2000 for leather. depending upon the quality of the leather and the work you want performed: piping, baseball stitch, extra bolsters and the shop...this price will rise quickly. a few months ago i saw a $20k leather job on a mercedes - complete interior, seats, dash, doors custom sewn, bolstered, etc.

cloth will be less since the material is cheaper but you are still paying for custom labor.

thank you OH so much for your opinion. it means alot to me. i'm so interested in knowing what some random guy on the internet thinks about what I do with the car that I own. I am aware of how "tacky" or "fake" putting LV in the headrest may be, but maybe that is exactly what I want to do, after all we are talking about a scion.

You can't come back with a comeback after eight seconds. You got three seconds. Five, tops. It's called a quip, not a sloooowwwwp
